It's been quite the year, but all around the state, lights festivals both old and new are shining brighter than ever for the holiday season. And this year, many of them have transitioned to driving experiences to ensure you can enjoy them safely.

If you do go to any walking experiences, be sure to check safety guidelines before you go, wear a face covering and socially distance from those around you.

Illumination at Morton Arboretum, Lisle

Designed with your safety in mind, this year’s all-new driving experience (30–40 minutes long) features an unparalleled spectacle of color, light, and music you won’t experience anywhere else.

Six Flags Holiday in the Park, Gurnee

The third season of Holiday In The Park returns as a re-imagined experience featuring over 2.5 million dazzling lights plus entertainment. And, for the first time ever, the theme park will offer a drive-thru version of its holiday celebration as Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience. Featuring over three million dazzling lights, festive holiday theming, and classic, seasonal tunes, this innovative and one-of-a-kind event will operate select days in December 2020 and January 2021.

ZooLights will feature hundreds of luminous displays and incredible seasonal activities, all under the glow of millions of illuminated lights, plus reduced capacity admission to keep your family safe.

Let it Shine Drive Thru, Northbrook

Let It Shine is a brand new drive-thru light show adjacent to Northbrook Court Shopping Center. Guests will be immersed into a symphony of sight and sound in a wonderland of displays.

East Peoria Festival of Lights, Peoria

Marking 36 years of holiday cheer, the festival begins with the Parade of Lights and continues through the month of December with the Folepi’s Winter Wonderland drive-through display.

Candlestick Lane, Urbana

For over half a century, the Urbana neighborhood comes together and celebrates family, friends and their city. Lamplighters go from house to house on opening ceremony to start Candlestick Lane.
