The Woodstock Fine Arts Association is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization devoted to promoting the arts & the Woodstock Opera House. Since 1961 this group has worked to restore the Woodstock Opera House and provide inspiring programming.
For over 50 years, the WFAA has been focused on what they do best. The Creative Living Series, a lecture/entertainment program, hosts 6 speakers a year. This series is one of the oldest lecture series that is not university based. Some of the past 300 speakers include Martha Stewart, Beverly Sills, Rick Steves, Studs Terkel, Rick Bayless, and Bill Kurtis. The WFAA also provides affordable, quality programming for schoolchildren. These programs give children an opportunity to see exciting programs in a magical building. The Woodstock Fine Arts Association also awards scholarships to high school students who excel in the arts, and a venue for them to perform in the Opera House at the annual Talent Showcase.
