Items on display are from the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm along with flags from 45 countries
The Museum was created to educate the younger generation and to show what the men and women went through in the time of need to protect our country. Over 800 military items have been donated to the Museum by Fayette County Veterans. Display cases include artifacts from wars and conflicts from World War I through Desert Storm. Located on the grounds you will find the Veterans Memorial wall display. Dedicated in 2003, it list the names of over 7,000 Fayette County Veterans. Also on the grounds you will find a 75mm Pack Howitzer that was used in World War II. Maximum firing range for this was 9,760 yards. Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – noon or by appointment.
