Tulip Festival! Yes, that’s right! Tulips – the flower of Passion! 5 acres of them! 250,000 bulbs - 30 different varieties plus 50,000 daffodils!
A total of 250,000 new tulip bulbs have been planted for the current year, comprising 30 different varieties. Additionally, last year's bulbs will also be emerging. Adding to the spectacle, 50,000 daffodil bulbs were planted alongside the tulips last fall. With the bulbs from 2021 and 2022 plantings already in the ground, the grand total of blooms is set to surpass 1 million!
The venue boasts a picturesque, private lakefront setting. Attendees can relish the offerings of food trucks, beer and wine, and avail themselves of free picnic table usage near the lakeshore. Ample free parking is provided, and a scenic walking trail meanders along the lake. Guests can partake in free entertainment with games like giant checkers, jenga, and cornhole. Live music performances are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Friendly dogs on leashes are warmly welcomed. The tulips are strategically planted near a private 36-acre lake, ensuring an enchanting ambiance. The adjacent Adventure Farm's gift shop will be open for patrons seeking gifts, wine tasting, freshly made donuts, popcorn, kettle corn, and access to indoor restrooms. The distance from the tulip fields parking area to the Adventure Farm grounds is approximately half a mile, accessible either by walking or driving.
Regarding wheelchair accessibility, while efforts have been made to accommodate wheelchair users, the terrain consists of a farm field with some unevenness. The walkways primarily consist of grass and weeds, with occasional lumps and bumps. In wet conditions, the ground may become slightly muddy. The parking area is covered in rough grass. The path from the tulip fields slopes down to the festival area, with slopes meeting ADA guidelines. Assistance may be needed for maneuvering wheelchairs over rough terrain. Attendees are advised to assess their own or their companion's capabilities.
Leashed dogs are permitted, provided they are sociable.
Drone usage is strictly prohibited on the premises.
