Walk the trails at a nature lover's paradise of state wide significance consisting of 266 acres of park like woodlands, prairie barrens, deep ravines, ridges, and cliffs.
Located on the South-East side of Lake Lou Yaeger, the 266 acre Shoal Creek Conservation Area has two easy hiking trails. This beautiful area is home to well over 700 species of plants, 70 species of butterflies, and 70 species of breeding birds. During your self-guided tour you will walk through native prairie lands, shoreline woods, and enjoy the magnificent views of the lake and surrounding areas.
