1700 Spartan Dr., Elgin, IL 60123

Known for both her clever examinations of historical events and her distinctive deadpan voice, best-selling author Sarah Vowell will apply her trademark wry point of view to Abraham Lincoln during this evening of history and humor.

The author of seven non-fiction books, most recently Lafayette in the Somewhat United States, Vowell was a contributing editor for public radio’s This American Life from 1996 to 2008, is a contributing op-ed writer for the New York Times, and also voices teen superhero Violet Parr in Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles films.
