Metropolis Lighthouse - Hope Light

The 30 foot tall lighthouse is designed to resemble a real lighthouse and contains a modern lighthouse beacon.

The lighthouse is located at the west entrance to the city-owned Dorothy Miller Park in Metropolis, Illinois overlooking the Ohio River. It stands thirty feet tall and is surrounded by a circular walkway consisting of concrete and personalized bricks. This is the world's only lighthouse designed, built and dedicated to the fight against cancer.
