The Lisle Park District was established in 1967 and provides a variety of leisure activities for people of all ages throughout the year.

Park district facilities include the Recreation Center which houses Gentle Learning Preschool, SEASPAR, the Senior Center, and multipurpose rooms; Community Park Fitness; Sea Lion Aquatic Park; River Bend Golf Club; Wheatstack - A Midwestern Eatery & Tap; The Museums at Lisle Station Park and numerous neighborhood playgrounds and parks offering amenities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, ballfields, and picnic areas totaling over 400 acres. Community Park is the centerpiece of the Lisle Park District. This 110 acre park serves as a focal point for outdoor sports and special events in the Lisle area.

The Lisle Park District has cooperative agreements with the local school districts for joint use of facilities and is a member of the Southeast Association of Special Parks and Recreation (SEASPAR), an organization that provides year round recreation programming and services for our residents with special needs. On May 31, 2014 we officially welcomed SEASPAR to our facility. SEASPAR's new Lisle facility features interactive equipment to soothe the senses in a variety of ways, cooking, art, computer skills, social activities, and an additional site for the EAGLES program!
