Dixon is set to host one of the best Sunday Fundays of the year
Dixon is set to host one of the best Sunday Fundays of the year with the Ultimate Tailgate Rib & Chili Cookoff on Oct. 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Beanblossom parking lot. Local and traveling teams will compete, vying for bragging rights with chili and ribs. A $5 admission fee covers your entry while chili supplies last.
Note: This isn’t a rib-tasting event. For those craving a hearty meal, Back Road Bar-B-Q will be on-site, with food available for purchase.
The event starts at noon with the Chicago Bears taking on the Carolina Panthers on a giant outdoor screen, complemented by drink specials and live music.
From noon to 3 p.m., Wild Wrek will perform live, providing the perfect soundtrack for a crisp fall afternoon. The bars in town will join the fun with specials and competitions, making it a lively day in downtown Dixon!
