Historic Sites
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the D.D. Collins House is located in Uptown Collinsville.
Daniel Dove Collins built this Greek Revival house in honor of his wife, Elizabeth. It is said that the main beam of the house was from a riverboat that got stuck on shore during the flood of 1844. Collins took that main beam from the riverboat and used it to build his house.
The house was donated to the City of Collinsville in 1998. It is open to the public on Saturdays. Step back in time and see the oldest house in the town's history. Hours of Operations: Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Except for Holiday Weekends).
