Crozehead Cooperage Co is a small family business founded by Army Veteran, Loren Buchmeier.
Crozehead, the only cooperage in Illinois, crafts premium spirit barrels, which account for 65 to 85% of a spirits flavor! This is why we consider it imperative to adhere to ancient and traditional standards of quality that most American cooperages ignore. A better barrel crafts a superior spirit!
Visit our 5-acre family farm for a cooperage tour and drinks at ‘The Crow and Calico Tavern’. Located only 35 miles south of downtown Chicago, we are an easy get away to the country, serving only premium spirits, wine and beer! Bring your own food to grill or order some amazing local BBQ, Polish, Mexican and Italian Cuisine! We are kid and dog friendly with lots of space to run and play!
