Hiking & Trails
The almost 900-acre Big Sky Nature Reserve is open to the public following the dedication of the Home Farm Section.
There are over 15 miles of trails to explore at this unique place, which is managed and protected primarily for the many bird species that call it home. To date, there have been documented sightings of over 100 different bird species at Big Sky, with April through August being the prime viewing season. Trail maps are available in the parking lot kiosks.
Please, no dogs from March 1st to September 30th, annually, to avoid bird nesting season. Trail access to horseback riders will be allowed for the month of August in 2024. Trailer parking in the Main Lot only.
