The Next Picture Show Gallery is pleased to welcome back the Illinois Watercolor Society National Exhibit on display from April 30-May 28, 2022.
The show features more than fifty works of art by artists from the US, Canada, and Malaysia. Juror of Selection and Awards is Michael Ireland, a nationally recognized artist as well as an accomplished creative director and graphic designer who has participated in the creative process for over forty years beginning with his studies at the American Academy of Art in Chicago.
The show is free and open to the general public during business hours. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm or by appointment.
The Illinois Watercolor Society was established in 1981 and the first exhibition took place in 1982 in Glenview. Today with over 190 members, the Illinois Watercolor Society sponsors both a national show and a member- invitational exhibit.
