2024 Springfield Juneteenth Celebration

The Juneteenth Celebration is more than just a party in the park but it’s now a multi-day celebration full of education, community engagement, and free entertainment. Events happen at various locations throughout Springfield.

On June 12th at 6pm, join Lincoln Library (326 S 7th St) for the premier Juneteenth Talent Show.  The show will feature dance, singing, comedy and more.

On June 13th at 5:30pm, come to the Y-block in downtown Springfield (4th St & Jackson St) and bring your lawn chairs for the Juneteenth Levitt Amp Concert.

On June 14th Springfield Southeast High School (2350 E Ash St) will be hosting the Mr. & Miss. Juneteenth Pageant show.

On June 15th, the Juneteenth Unity Parade kicks off at 10am at Martin Luther King Jr Drive & South Grand Ave.  Watch community organizations, bands, dance teams and more march in celebration of the holiday.

On June 15th & 16th, Comer Cox Park (Capitol Ave & Martin Luther King Jr Dr) hosts the Juneteenth Celebration. Join the celebration with food, games, music, prizes and more.  The celebration starts after the parade on the 15th and 9am on the 16th.  Morris Day & The Time perform at the park the night of June 15th.

On June 19th, the Henson Robinson Zoo (1100 E Lake Shore Dr) invites everyone to come out as a community and connect with nature.
