It’s gotta be tough when you’re the only kid in your fifth grade class standing 6'5" tall. Or when you’re The World’s Tallest Boy Scout at 7'4". But Robert Wadlow, the World’s Tallest Man, took it all in stride. And what an immense stride that was. Named "The Gentle Giant" for his mellow demeanor, his overactive pituitary gland was anything but. It kept him growing like a weed until the day he died at 8'11", 491lbs with a size 37 shoe.
