If only Charlie Brown had known about Morton’s Annual Pumpkin Festival. He wouldn’t have had to spend all night in a pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin. He could have seen it in Morton, where they paint the town orange each fall with a pumpkin festival of mammoth proportions. Highlights include a pumpkin parade, Punkin Chuckin contest, pumpkin rides and the crowning of a 5-year-old Pumpkin Princess. Smashing, wouldn’t you say?
