Behold the Colossal Condiment
Towering majestically over Route 159 in Collinsville, Illinois is one of the best examples of American roadside kitsch to be found: the World’s Largest Catsup Bottle. This 170-foot-tall monument to a condiment was erected in 1949 by the W.E. Caldwell Company, bottlers of Brooks Old Original Rich and Tangy Catsup (“It’s the tangy-est!”), and has been attracting visitors from around the world ever since.
