Do you know the secret code to get in? Answer correctly and enter a whole new world!

Step back in time in the once Whiskey Capital of the World at Tannins & Hops Speakeasy. Just like speakeasies during Prohibition - you need a password to get in. Once you answer correctly, you walk right in to the 1920's! Tannin & Hops has amazing drink specials and a large list of beer and wine. Plus, their food is out of this world (or time period)! No entree's - just finger food you can enjoy with company.

The building it is located in used to smuggle in whiskey between 1926 and 1932, when they were busted by the prohibition agency of the federal government. The whiskey they brought it came from New Jersey on the train tracks just outside the warehouse. The Oneill brothers would then store the barrels inside and wait for the call from Capone. They would then load up their delivery trucks, drive to Joliet where they would meet one of Capones guys, along with a police officer. They would deliver the “product” to Capone, get paid, and repeat the process over and over. The brothers did this for over 6 years before they got caught.
