Welcome to a roast-to-order coffee company that redefines the limits of good taste as it unites a community.
This all started when founders Brent and Kendra Boesdorfer were looking for a really good cup of coffee—and couldn’t find one. Admittedly coffee-obsessed, their tiny idea has grown into a custom roastery specializing in small-batch brews that hit the spot, growing in size as a result.
Custom Cup is now a coffee-lover’s dream, establishing a micro-roastery in downtown Springfield that is equal parts retail outlet, brew bar coffee service and educational facility intent on sharing brewing methods while teaching their clientele about coffee.
The barista team takes great care to source “single-origin” (each batch sold can be traced back to the region, farm or co-op it came from), “green” coffee from suppliers known for their quality, social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Custom Cup also takes care to encourage customers to not buy more than they can easily consume within the beans’ ideal life cycle. You’ll also notice that only the best restaurants serve Custom Cup coffee in and around the state’s capital city, as news of the secret of the Boesdorfer’s good idea slowly seeps out like the intoxicating aroma of their freshly ground coffees.
